KATANA™ Zirconia ONE is a pre-sintered zirconia block which is designed for CEREC systems. KATANA™ Zirconia ONE For IMPLANT, Foe CEREC is designed for using as a mesostructure of an implant system, and has an access hole for connecting to the TiBase. It can be fabricated as a hybrid abutment crown or a hybrid abutment. Designed to match the shade guide1, when used as a posterior restoration finished by hand polishing2.
This multi-layered block consists of four layers of zirconia in gradated shades.
This product allows the chair side fabrication of natural-tooth-colored restorations – eliminating additional sintering time.
(Screw-retained crown)
(Cement-retained crown)
KATANA™ Zirconia ONE For IMPLANT, For CEREC can be used as a hybrid abutment crown or a hybrid abutment. With this block, you can create either type depending on the case. For general cases, a hybrid abutment crown can be used. A hybrid abutment, which needs a separately created crown, is used when an implant is placed in an orientation that is not parallel to that of the adjacent teeth, etc.
We, Kuraray Noritake Dental, develop our exclusive zirconia powders all within the company. This approach allows us to exercise precise control over both the chemical and physical characteristics, including the concentration of yttria, as well as factors like grain or particle size and the sintering temperature.

It is recommended to cement the restoration with PANAVIA™ SA Cement Universal (White).

| What is the “AC Technique”? The AC Technique with PANAVIA™ SA Cement Universal is introduced for appropriate bonding of zirconia restorations without a primer by Prof. Markus Blatz, DMD, PhD, University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and his group. It only includes two practical steps: (A) air-particle abrasion and (C) adhesive composite resin. The researchers have originally introduced “the APC technique” to ensure proper bonding process of zirconia, which includes three practical steps: (A) air-particle abrasion, (P) zirconia primer, and (C) adhesive composite resin. |
For posterior restorations, hand polishing is recommended to match the shade guide. Pre-sinter polishing can also be performed prior to sintering, regardless of finishing method.

For anterior restorations, we recommend finishing by glazing and staining with dental porcelain such as CERABIEN™ ZR FC Paste Stain to realize aesthetic results.

CERABIEN™ ZR FC Paste Stain is a paste-type stain (surface stain)
which allows for easy characterization of full zirconia, as well as both layered and pressed zirconia. It is recommended for dental technicians and dentists that want to further characterize sintered zirconia.
PANAVIA™ SA Cement Universal contains MDP in the paste and can be used to cement zirconia crowns without a separate primer/silane. This special long chain silane coupling agent in the paste eliminates the need for a separate silane bottle.
KATANA™ Cleaner is a universal cleaner with unique MDP salt technology that can be used to clean zirconia after intra-oral try-in. It has a pH of 4.5 that can be used intra-orally as well, to clean preps. These features truly make it a universal cleaner.
KATANA™ Zirconia ONE For IMPLANT, For CEREC comes with two types, S and L. The difference between S and L is the diameter of the access hole. The block size is the same.
